Why I Created Midlife Renaissance

My name is Kate Parker, and I'm the Founder and CEO of House of Reawaken. For most of my career, my work has centred around one simple question:

How do we help people understand themselves more clearly?

I've worked in education, learning design, writing, podcasting, coaching, and personal development. Across every role, I kept noticing the same thing. People rarely struggle because they don't have enough information. They struggle because it's incredibly difficult to recognise ourselves while we're standing in the middle of our own lives. We see individual moments. We don't always see the patterns.

For years, journalling was one of my most important practices. Whenever life felt uncertain, exciting, overwhelming, or complicated, I wrote. The problem wasn't capturing my thoughts. The problem was connecting them. The insights I was looking for were almost never hiding inside a single journal entry. They lived across weeks, months, and years. They lived in patterns.

I began wondering what might happen if technology could do something different. Not tell us who we are, or optimise or judge us. But to remember what we had already lived through, notice the patterns we were too close to see ourselves, and gently reflect them back over time. That became Midlife Renaissance.

I don't believe most people need another self-improvement app. I think many of us need more opportunities to recognise ourselves. To notice the quiet growth that happens between the milestones.

The boundaries we've learned to hold.

The resilience we've built.

The strengths we've stopped noticing because they've become part of who we are.

Midlife Renaissance exists because I wanted to build the system I wished I'd had years ago.

A place where reflection doesn't disappear into another notebook.

A place where your story stays connected.

A place where understanding grows over time.
